Hello, and welcome to Episode 110 of the her Empire Builder podcast. So today, I have an episode for you, that is a little bit different to normal, and I have held off doing this one, I've had the idea to do this for a long time, it's been in my perspective, podcast, episode list, and I hold off because it's I you know, I don't want people to think I'm a little crazy, but then I'm like, you know what, it’s my special blend of crazy, that makes me brilliant. So I thought, you know what, I'm gonna share with you. And so today is all about affirmations.

Now, instead of just telling you all about affirmations, what I'm going to do is I'm actually going to record most of the affirmations that I have recorded for myself. So in the show notes below, if this is, you know, if you come back and listen to this time and time again, as I know, a lot of people might do look in the show notes for what timing, the actual affirmations part starts. And then you can just skip over all of my theory on affirmations. So that you can get straight into that. I don't script my podcasts, this is always thing I have scripted my affirmations part. But I never script my podcast. And so sometimes I go to say things and I'm like, No, I don't want to say it like that, I'll say, because one of my favourite podcast, the podcast actually started scripting things, and I don't like it anymore. Because I like it's just like, listening to someone read. And it's not as entertaining and not as fun. So that's why sometimes I kind of don't finish my sentences, how I would like to is because I changed my mind about what I'm going to say.

So you know, back in the day, when The Secret came out, there was a whole lot of people do going, you know, you can't just manifest things into being. And I very much agree with that. I think, you know, just wishing for something to happen does not make it happen, what actually makes something happen is when we believe we can, and this is where the manifestation comes in. And then because we believe we can, then we put a plan into place, and then we have the confidence and the courage to take action on those plans. And so we will never have the confidence and courage to take the actions that we need to take if we don't believe in ourselves. And this is where affirmations plays such a big role. It's something that I have been doing since I was a kid since I was in high school, I have been having affirmations and sometimes I will have like ones that I'm really focusing on the moment that might be a belief that I'm trying to change because often where we want to grow to next, the thing that prohibits us from being able to do that is because we've got a belief system that's blocking us from being able to actually believe that it's true for us. And so we're just like self sabotaging the whole way because we can't actually envisage ourselves doing the things that need to be done to get ourselves to where we want to go. And so sometimes when that that kind of block comes up, I'll have one and all like the cabinet over and over and over again. Or I'll write it out and I'll stick it on my computer screen or I'll put it on like an image and then screenshot it and put it on the homepage of my phone. So I see it all the time. But for me now, I have a whole lot of affirmations that I've kind of collected that serve me over time and what I did when I got back from my trip around the world about 18 months ago now was I recorded it so that I can listen to it again and again and again. And really let that sink in. And sometimes people will go you know, is there much point in doing affirmations or you know, I don't want to say that I just sound like a wanker. I sound like I'm big noting myself or, you know, it just sounds so unrealistic. And here's the thing, we say mean stuff to ourselves all the time, all the time, things that are so crazily untrue. But we say them in our mind, because they keep popping up through our subconscious into our mind. And the only person we spend all day every day with is ourselves. And so one of the ways that you can get yourself to do the things that you want to do faster, and this is the thing, most people, the thing that fascinated the most when people work with me, or when people are interviewing me, or people asking me kind of about my business and about my life is how do you get so much done? How do you make so much progress in such a short amount of time, and you seem to like, have an idea and put your mind to it, and you just do it, it's been done, while other people are spending, you know, five years, 10 years, 20 years trying to get there. And I very much think it's because I don't get psyched out. And I think what holds a lot of people back is their negative self talk. Is the feeling that they're not good enough to be able to do anything that they want to do. And so it comes in all different ways. Because it can come up in so many different ways. You know, you could be writing a script for your podcast, or you could be writing copy for your website, or you could be going to record videos for your course or whatever it is. And procrastination is coming up or you feeling like something sidetracking you and things are going on. And you keep stopping and starting I had a hugely with my book. So my book that I just wrote, I would find that when I got to a part and I felt like this, this misalignment in Gosh, who am I to really be saying this, like, Can I do this. And that is when I paused and that is what slowed me down is when I have those moments of self doubt. So inside my mind, if I can be my biggest cheerleader, it enables me to do things without the bullshit of sitting and waiting and getting stuffed around by our very own unserving thoughts. I mean, we want our thoughts to be helpful to us in in getting us to where we want to go. And so one of my favourite things about affirmations is no one can hear you. So with positive self talk with cheering yourself on with doing all of that, no one has to know. I mean, I have a whole separate set of affirmations that I use before I walk onto a big stage. So I used to be absolutely petrified of walking on too big stage like I'm talking to 1000 people in the audience spotlights go on the music plays welcome to the stage Tina Tower, and everyone's up and they're clapping. Oh my god world opened up swallow me whole was how I felt. The only way I could match that energy and perform the way that the organiser and the way that the audience needed me to perform and the way that I wanted to perform, the only way I could do that was with a psych up. So I would put my headphones in. And I would have it in my ears the whole time going, Tina, you are born for this. Everything you've done in your life previously is training for this very moment. They're waiting for you to just talk the things you already know. Like, there's so much in there that would pump me up. And so by the time they said my name, I was like, You know what, I've got this 100% I'm ready, I'm there. And that was a game changer for me. And so with these ones, obviously, I've taken out a couple of personal things that I have in there. Because I thought it wasn't relevant for you. I don't want you to be able to listen to it and go, Well, why aren't you talking about this for my business is so different. So I've kept in everything that I think can serve you the best over time. And then what I'm going to do is just read it to how I would myself. And so I'm using the first person I'm saying I but I want you to be able to hear those words and mean them to you. Hello. This is a reminder of your awesomeness. When I say I, I mean you. These are the words that you're saying to yourself, I want you to feel them, and know that they're true. I can do hard things. I was made to overcome hard things, and find the ease and joy in every day. When I think about everything that I've had to overcome to create the life I currently have, I'm in or if teenage me could see me now find out how happy she'd be. She would know that she's going to be alright, and that everything is going to turn out so differently to what she imagined that so much better. Young me would not have wasted so much time in angst  Had I known how I'd be able to overcome the challenges that I face. So I won't waste time. Now. I won't worry now and wait until I'm old and grey. To know that it's going to be all okay. For I know it to be true right now. I am safe. When I think about what I'm able to do with my mind and my body. I know I am amazing. I am not too busy for the things that are most important to me. Busy is lazy. And I am smart enough to choose to spend my time on things that matter most and not worry about the rest, I can leave them for someone else. I can step into my light and truly shine. In doing so I empower others. And I'm especially able to show my children what it looks like to love what you do and be comfortable in who you are. I am comfortable in who I am. Every day I choose to show up and illuminate the parts of myself that I want to. I feel those insecurities everyone does. I feel it throughout the day, and feel the pressure. And I don't hide away or ignore the magnitude of what I'm trying to do. And my desire to be better than before. But that doesn't stop me. I feel the fear and the pressure,

acknowledge it, give it a wink. And then I push through it. I show up as my best self. I show up to serve. To do that. I feel the fear, and then I do it anyway. I have the vision for the life I want to lead. I am committed to making a massive contribution to my community near and far and make an impact with my short time on this earth. I will provide for my family and make decisions in line with my values that sees me living an abundant life filled with joy, and also setting up for a beautiful financial future. I work hard because I am brilliant at what I do. And I love to spend time doing what sets my soul on fire. Yes, I do work hard. But I take rest guilt free. I take time to breathe, to laugh to play and remind myself that life is short and it's here so that I can make an impact and enjoy the little everyday things. This is me I can choose to be whoever I want to be. I choose growth because while I'm perfectly content and love myself just as I am I want to see what I'm really capable of. I will continue To learn, to listen, to implement, and to go big, I will do the things that I need to do in order to be the person that I know I can be. I am safe to grow. Everything that I want in life, it wants me. It's seeking me and I'm creating opportunities to find the right path to get there. The universe is rigged in my favour. My success is inevitable. Any blocks that I may encounter are there only so that I can acquire the knowledge to solve them. And to remind me what strong stuff I'm made of. abundance is here for me and I am so deserving of all of that. Love is all around me. And I get to exist giving and receiving love with my family, friends and people that I'm blessed to work with. I am okay with judgement. both the good and the bad, don't reflect who I really am. My value is not in my ethic, but the value that I provide for the world. I am a leader of industry leaders and inspire transformation encouraging women to be who it is that their heart truly desires. I am a world class teacher and communicator and take complexity and simplify it to be achievable and get results with ease. I care about my people. That's why my ideas are relevant and powerful. I connect because I serve to the highest standard and in return dollars flow to me easily. I make millionaires every single day in every single way. I'm getting healthier, fitter, leaner and stronger than I was yesterday. I look after my body and we work together so that my mind can do all of the things that I dream.
