The Optimism of a New Year
Goodness me I love a new year! There's nothing quite like a fresh calendar to spark excitement. We're now a couple of weeks into the year and it's the time that most people's best intentions begin to fall by the wayside. Don't let yours drop! For me this year it's nothing all that groundbreaking that I'll be working towards.
2014 was an absolutely massive year for us with so many new things and twists and turns. This year I am planning for a beautiful culmination of all that I've been working for for the past 10 years. I've always loved reading but last year as so much time was spent working, the reading fell by the wayside. This year it's my commitment to read a book every 2 weeks. To hold myself to it, I'll be publishing a book review here of what I read every 2 weeks.
Health will also be a focus for me in 2015. It was another area that got a little neglected as things got crazy. A chocolate always makes a busy day feel better right? :) I quit caffeine a few months ago after getting a kickstart of help from Gwinganna. My goal thing year is to kick the sugar habit so I can be more productive, efficient and energetic.
Our little man Cohen starts school in a couple of weeks. It's going to be a new shift having 2 children at school and I'm going to have to find a way to adjust scheduling so that I can do school pick up a couple of days a week and hear all of their wonderful stories.
We had our family Christmas holiday at Fiji in the holidays and it was such an amazing place to relax and get clarity and excitement building for the new year. Our children are now at the age where we can start travelling more so I'm very excited to get back on board with exploring the world with them. In September we'll be heading off to Central America where I'll be getting married!! To the same man luckily :) We have a deal to get married every 10 years and I can't believe it's here already! What a journey that's been, but more on that in September.
For business I have added 2 new superstars to the Begin Bright team so far this year so that I can focus more on building the business, refining our franchise systems and promoting and sharing through speaking and writing. Last year we opened 2014 with 9 centres and finished with 18 so it was our biggest year yet. I am planning to majorly surpass that and at the end of 2015 have 35 centres. Go team!
I wish you the most FABULOUS year - be bold and brilliant.
